I've been waiting all week to see my niece in her first Halloween costume and OH MY GOD! She is just to adorable!!! Mommy (Jennifer) and Brianna made their first stop here at Aunt Victoria's and Grandma's and I was just giddy with laughter!
Although Brianna is to young for candy, I made sure I got Jennifer her favorite candy bar and she walked away all happy LOL
Well finally got off my lazy butt today and got my front porch decorated for Halloween. I'm not completely finished yet but almost there. I still need to get the pumpkins and a few other things to finish up the job but its a start.
No changing of the leaves. No reds, oranges, yellows. I haven't had to rake leaves in oh I don't even know how long. Not that I am complaining mind you! About 4 years ago I went to Canada for about 2 weeks in October and I was in heaven. It was fall and I was experiencing what I have been missing for years now. I just wanted to throw myself in a huge pile of leaves and roll around in it. Ahhhhh, good times for sure.
This year, things are going to be a little different then they have in pass years. I usually throw a few holiday things up in the house for Halloween and Thanksgiving and most see what I do for the Christmas Holiday already. (a bit more then the 2 other holidays). This coming weekend, I am transforming my porch into a Halloween theme and been planning what I will be doing. I want to get back to doing the things that brought happiness and giddy feelings back in my life and decorating for the holidays was one of them.
I still have a whole week ahead of me so I am sure I will come up with some more ideas, but so far, this is what I have planned and I find myself getting excited and itching to run out there NOW and get to work.
I even have plans to make up some edible goodies for work. Our team has started bringing in food, snacks, etc a few days a week to share with the team and I will be doing up some Halloween theme goodies. I came across some awesome ideas on the web and that will be fun to do.
Of course, I will share all that I do with some pictures, so stay tuned for the coming weeks ahead!
