Out of the 5 kittens tha t Lexi had, we are now down to 2 and they both have homes as well. They will be moving on this coming Monday and Lexi has a appointment with the Vet the Monday after, Wooot! I really don't have a reason to complain about kittens this time around though. Out of all the litters of kittens we have had over the past few years, this batch has been really good. Calm, quiet and they played amongst themselves without trying to kill anyone who walked by them LOL
Callie had her first batch of kittens about a week ago. Not only is she taking great care of her own, she even takes care of Lexi's as well. The night Callie had her kittens, I walked into the living room to see the 2 babies above drinking from her and never saw that in my life. I'm sure Lexi appreciated it. Gave her a much needed break LOL
This is a pretty short boring video but I had to hurry before the momma cat came back LOL
I walk into the house a little while ago and there stood Lexi. Immeditly, I noticed she is no longer fat. I call out to my mom and as she walked into the kitchen, I let her know that Lexi had her kittens and asked if she knew where. She had no clue. Lexi is just standing there by her cat food dish, so I quickly gave her some food and there we stood....waiting.
After what seemed like hrs (and after we searched the house for newborn kittens with no luck) Lexi finished eating and cleaning herself and started walking away. She walks over to the laundry area and mom and I look at each other. "oh no" I said out loud. All I could imagine was her having kittens behind the washer or dryer and no way we could get to them. (Smart mom! LOL)
Then it hit me. I noticed a few days ago Lexi laying up in a corner on the shelves above the laundry area. I quickly run over, climb on top of the washer and sure enough. I see a white head sticking up. "Found them!" I shouted as Jen comes running over with a box and mom holding onto a flashlight.
One by one, I pick them up. 1, 2, 3,......6. 6 kittens! Damn! Two black and white ones like the mother and 4 tan and white striped ones. After ohhhhhhhing and awwwwing, we took the box and the mother in put them in a empty spare room we have at the moment and hid them away. Hopefully she will keep them in there somewhere lol
Soooooooo....here our the latest additions to our family.
